Surface Finishing Services FAQs

  • Q1:Will surface finishing affect part tolerances?

Yes. Some coatings and treatments add thickness to the part surface. At NAITE TECH, coating thickness is controlled and accounted for during CNC machining, 3D printing, or sheet metal fabrication to ensure all finished parts remain within required tolerances.
  • Q2:Which surface finish is best for corrosion resistance?

The best option depends on the base material and environment. Anodizing is ideal for aluminum, while plating, powder coating, or conversion coatings are commonly used for steel and cast components. Our engineers recommend the optimal solution based on exposure conditions and service life requirements.
  • Q3:Can you match specific colors such as Pantone or RAL?

Yes. We support Pantone and RAL color matching for anodizing, powder coating, and painting to ensure brand and product consistency across production batches.
  • Q4:Are your finishes suitable for mass production?

Yes. All our finishing processes are production-grade and controlled for repeatability. The same finish approved on a prototype can be consistently reproduced for low-volume and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Q5:Do you provide surface finishing for both metal and plastic parts?

Yes. We provide finishing for aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, cast alloys, and engineering plastics produced by CNC machining, 3D printing, and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Q6:Can you recommend the best finish if I’m not sure what I need?

Absolutely. Our engineering team evaluates your part design, material, and operating conditions to recommend the most suitable surface finishing solution based on performance, cost, and production requirements.
