What Is MJF 3D Printing?

MJF, or Multi Jet Fusion, is a powder-based 3D printing process that uses fusing agents and heat to produce strong, accurate, and durable nylon parts layer by layer. It is widely used for functional prototypes, end-use components, housings, brackets, jigs, fixtures, robotics parts, and low-volume production parts.

Because MJF does not require traditional support structures, it can produce complex geometries, internal features, lightweight structures, and nested production batches with good design freedom and consistent part quality.

Compared with SLA 3D printing, MJF is better suited for functional nylon parts and durable end-use components rather than smooth clear resin prototypes. Compared with FDM, MJF provides better surface consistency, design freedom, and repeatable quality for production-grade nylon parts.
